This is one fish I will never forget catching, I was bivvied up on the Baldwin swim on Fordwich Lake i had been their for five biteless days, the weather report was for 70 mph winds and torrential rain to hit the area by saturday afternoon, I had my fist fish on the friday evening a 24lb-0oz Mirror Carp. Saturday I could not believe what was happening this 40 acre lake was empty by 11.00am apart from yours truly, the rain and wind seemed to arrive together and as soon as it did I had a bleep on my right hand rod, I jumped to my feet not knowing if it was the wind or not. It was'nt all of a sudden the line poured from my reels at a rate of knots I have not witnessed before, I picked up the rod and wound down until I felt the fish and the rod hooped over and I pulled into the fish that was kiting hard round to my right, I was almost blown over several times by the force of the wind and the rain was making it hard to see. Approximately 15 minutes later the fish was in the net, the famous Clown tipped the scales to 30lb-10oz www.go-fishing.org/upload/files/30lb-10oz Mirror.jpg[/img]
