Hi Camo and thanks for the welcome. I am just getting back into freshwater fishing after a 5-year break, the past 5 years I have spent salthingyer fly-fishing.
Here’s a quick bio My name is Malcolm but my friends call me Goose, I’m 56 years old and live in Whitstable, I love fishing, my truck (25 year old Toyota Landcruiser) and my boat.
My fishing seems to run in 5/6 year cycles, for the past five or six years I have been obsessed with salthingyer fly-fishing (still am), five years before that it was barbel, five years before that I was speci hunting, mainly at MKF and before that it was carp.
Now I just want to fish for anything that swims be it on bait, lure or fly, but I want big fish, so I guess its back to speci hunting.
I came across your site while doing a search to see if there had been a specimen group formed in Kent (cant believe no-one has formed a group)
I try to get out fishing at least once a week, usually mid week as I work weekends, so I will post a report here.
If anyone is looking for a fishing buddy give me a shout.
Any way that’s me

Cheers Goose mate, apart from having to work it was great thanks, glad the weather has warmed up a bit, now people can get out and wet some lines. Off pike fishing next weekend hopefully.
