Hi Camo and thanks for the welcome. I am just getting back into freshwater fishing after a 5-year break, the past 5 years I have spent salthingyer fly-fishing.
Here’s a quick bio My name is Malcolm but my friends call me Goose, I’m 56 years old and live in Whitstable, I love fishing, my truck (25 year old Toyota Landcruiser) and my boat.
My fishing seems to run in 5/6 year cycles, for the past five or six years I have been obsessed with salthingyer fly-fishing (still am), five years before that it was barbel, five years before that I was speci hunting, mainly at MKF and before that it was carp.
Now I just want to fish for anything that swims be it on bait, lure or fly, but I want big fish, so I guess its back to speci hunting.
I came across your site while doing a search to see if there had been a specimen group formed in Kent (cant believe no-one has formed a group)
I try to get out fishing at least once a week, usually mid week as I work weekends, so I will post a report here.
If anyone is looking for a fishing buddy give me a shout.
I have been on MKF for many years now currently on Conningbrook having fished the Mill for several years, plus most of the other waters, I fish Saturday nights through to Mondays then a couple of overnight sessions on my Syndicate water during the week. plus the odd Barbel and Fly Fishing sessions.
I am 57 tomorrow so of a simular age, my name is Alan but everyone calls me Camo, I am the Head Bailiff for Mid-Kent Fisheries also Manager of Premierbaits, so if your ever in the Area pop in and see me for a cuppa and a chat or give me a call.
