I was watching the reocrd breaking fish show yesterday morning, I think it was the one where they were at the monument, anyway Matt Hayes was using these leads for PVA bags, they had a groove all the way around them & a plastic ring that slide over the lead & sat in the groove. BAsicall you stick your rig in the bag, lead at the top & slide the ring over the pva, onto the lead, securing the bag/lead in place. I was really impressed with the way this worked & the fact that you don't have to stick the bacg & twist it all about with your rig in it was well smart. Has anyone used these leads R they any good? --------------------------------------------------------------- Take a small bag, and inside it put the hookbait and some dry groundbait. [the green stuff is pukka] Seal this with just a dab of spit, rather than twisting it or tying a knot. Easily done. Put that bag, inside a larger bag, and fill that with 4-5-6 different types of pellet [different sized] I like to do this as it prevents the hookbait being masked in any way, and helps keep the lead away from the hookbait ------------------------------------------------------------------- Armaled's new PVA, although not 100% ladderproof melts really quickly. If you're using oily pva sticks the oil will delay the breakdown time. I use blackcatbaits sheet pva for most of my winter carping, it's breakdown time is excellent.

The Esp range break down very fast even in Winter the Leads that Tarpon was on about are made by Anchor and are made in both in-line and swivel type.
