Hi Dave, Welcome to the site nice to see a new face. Most particels need to be soaked for at least 24 hours and then need to be boiled and left simmering for 30 to 40 minutes or check back with Hinders and ask them as some of there stuff has to be prepared diffrent to others that are on the market. I hope this helps you out. Good Luck.
Ps: Why you are here join up with the rest of us.

Party Blend or Red Stripe (or any of its other names) has been around for some time. It is a particle mix designed for conditioning pigeons & other cage birds. It has a distinctive aniseed smell to it and consists of many different seeds. Many anglers have started to use Party Blend instead of hemp to use as a carpet feed for many different species PREPARATION: Party Blend is very simple to prepare. As the seeds that make up the mix are all small in diameter it can be prepared simply by scalding with boiling water and leaving to stand for a few hours. The mix will have a very gloopy consistency and seems to stick to everything. APPLICATIONS As the seeds are all relatively small it cannot be thrown or catapulted long distances. You will need to use a bait spod for long range application. If you are fishing at medium range you could use Vitalin as a carrier for the mix. Also makes a wicked additional element to any Method Mix!

Hi dave, I dont know what hook bait you'll be using, but if you are going to use bollies as a hook bait you could try breaking some of your hook baits up into the party mix and adding some of the flavoring if you can. Party mix is execellent dont get me wrong but the fish can get so engrossed in particles they dont touch you bollies so its best to put some of your bollies in there aswell.
Also i would'nt go putting to much out this time of year but when spring comes get the biggest spod you can and away you go.
If you find when your spodding mix out you lose quite a bit when you cast, get a bag of pop up foam stick about 5 or 6 pieces in the end to act like a lid, make sure there stuck in the end and you will not lose any when you cast even at long range
good luck and tight lines.
