Located south of Bordeaux, this lake of 46 hectares is awaiting your visit.
The lake was stocked with very beautiful large carp.
A path accessible to cars connects all the fishing spots along this lake which is surrounded by a forest of pines and oaks. A club house with showers, restrooms and telephones are available to the Anglers and their guests.
The depths of the lake varies from 1,5 to 15 , it has two large wooded islands of 2 hectares and many little islands, a paradise for fish and fishermen.
The installation is completely fenced in and a guard watches over your security. Day and night only the fishes being caught are allowed to disturb the natural quitness dominating the surrounding of the lake.
Well peg 6 is very snaggy indeed and after 19 takes I landed just 7 losing 12 fish to the snags, this is Carp fishing to the extreme, fishing as tight as possible to snags rods locked up solid to try and stop the fish getting back into the snags, what I found strange is that their mouths are in perfect condition, the Carp were spawning for most of the week, my week was highlighted by the capture of my first fifty, 50lb-8oz
Thanks Lads spooling up my reels tonight ready for the off, had no reports so far this week on how the lake is fishing, but if its anything like my local waters they are fishing their heads off. See you all soon, come on lets have a few specimen reports and photos soon. Tight Lines to you all.
Well I am back and to be honest it was far from my best trip lost two due to the leads not releasing properly then took two Grass Carp to 22lb-2oz my Partner managed just one Carp of 31lb, the swim I was in last year fished realy well taking over thirty Carp to 59lb, however the top swims pegs 18 and 19 produced the goods to John Lilley and Tim Paisley. John took four fifties and an 82lb-0oz Mirror whilst Tim had a 60lb Common, Ian Chllcot had Commons of 44lb and 46lb. The good thing is that I am learning the venue each visit and have managed to get a spot for 2007 in March and will be fishing with World Record Holder Gary Hagues in 2008.
