Do you use a conventional plumbing setup or do you prefer to lead around, or maybe a chuck it and chance it type of angler.

I have seen the Hummingbird 'Fishfinder' at work and have to say for fish finding its crap but for feature finding its the mutts nuts. 10 minutes casting around in front of you and you have a detailed map of the bottom. IF anyone is thinking of getting one go for the model with the mini screen receiver it has a far greater range ,about 100yards, than the wrist or rod mounted ones, they only have an effective range of about 25/30 yards.

I prefer to lead around on a venue I know, however on a new venue it's got to be the marker I am afraid, if only to find the depths.
