I know I'm gonna get slaughtered for this (especially from Den) but here goes ;D ;D What are your opinions on the effects the moon has on "specimen" fishing? Dont know if any of you have heard of, or know Chris Lyons from "Moonstrike" but some time ago I got chatting to him via email through Keith Arthur (name drop ) Anyway cut long story short, he sent me a calendar of dates and TIMES for when specimen fish are most likely to feed according to the moon phases. I did try this out on a couple of occassions, the first time I managed 18 1/4lb mirror. I thought maybe luck so I gave it another go next time out and got a 9lb bream. So before you send the men in white coats round let me know what your opinions are? Is there anything in it or is it just a load of c**p

There is a theory that the moon phases affect some anglers They start looking at it and working out the best time to go fishing. On a more serious note its well known that wind direction and high.low pressure systems affect fish fishing so it may well be reasonable to assume that moon phases do as well. OC.
